Hi, I’m Amy Walker and I am an artist from Sunny Southern California. I reside in this golden state with my wonderful husband and my two teens. I paint and create when inspiration grabs a hold of me in my at home art studio.

I enjoy sharing my LOVE for Art and helping people express themselves with paint and color. I want people to express themselves through paint without trying to be perfect!

I believe I got my talent from my mom, who would bring me along to art classes that she would take. I can still remember everyone painting the same happy little tree, next to the river and mountains... knowing that there are no mistakes just happy accidents! I would sit in the back of the room and take it all in, the smells, the brush strokes, the colors, it all fascinated me. I remember seeing all the beautiful paintings come to life with each stroke of the brush. This is where I developed my passion to pursue art.

I attended Laguna College of Art and Design and graduated with my Bachelors in Fine Art in 2000. I mostly work in acrylic and watercolor however still dabble in Oil paints from time to time. In 2000 while on a camping trip I broke the table in our RV. My husband made a new one from butcher block. I asked him if I could do Ocean Resin art on top. Since I had never worked with resin he agreed with a little hesitation . I started out with one small wood piece and then another and quickly fell in love with this medium.

I try to look at everything with a creative eye. When I'm painting I feel so free... no mistakes, no worries. I like to paint with all my heart and follow wherever it takes me.
